The fact is that this development can no longer be stopped. It is, therefore, a good idea to look at digitization and answer the question of how it affects the personal sphere.

People with vision know that. They have the motivation and engagement to help shape this transformation. For this reason, they devote part of their studies/training quite naturally to the subject of digitization. This makes them experts in the future.

There is no industry anymore that does not deal with the topic of digitization. Mechanical engineering is just as affected as medicine, transportation or neurobiology. Not even humanistic subjects such as psychology and pedagogy, not even the humanities such as linguistics, literature or philosophy can escape this phenomenon, which literally moves the world. Cultural studies are focusing more and more on the changes associated with globalization, and even art studies have expanded its curriculum to include „Digital Art History“.

Therefore we award two scholarships in the amount of 1000 Euro each. The scholarship is limited a period of 12 months. Scholarship holders from all courses of study and trainees from all sectors can apply. It is also possible to award scholarships to exchange students.

ExpertenTesten.de has already helped over 36 million consumers to make the right purchasing decision. This commitment has paid off: In April 2018, ExpertenTesten.de was awarded the IT Innovation Prize of the Initiative Mittelstand in Germany.

ExpertenTesten.de would like to support two highly motivated students for at least one year.

The only prerequisite for this is that you will also deal with digitization during your studies or training and perform well during your studies/training. However, the subject does not have to deal mainly with digitization or globalization. Our appeal is addressed to all students and trainees without exception.

All criteria at a glance:

You are currently enrolled at a university in the DACH region or are undergoing training (exchange students from countries like the US, UK or Australia are allowed to participate, too!)
The standard period of study of your current studies or the duration of your current education runs at least until 01.05.2021
Topics related to digitization will occupy you during your studies or education
ou are regarded as purposeful and prove this by good performances in your school and/or academic career so far

This is how you apply

1. Your person

The application documents should contain the following three points:

Information about your motivation incl. answers to our questions

2. Your motivation

We want to get to know you and your personality better. Tell us about your vision. Which way have you chosen? What topics are you passionate about? What do you find particularly exciting about your education/study? And why do you deserve the scholarship for experts of the future? Then we want you to answer the following questions: 1. How will digitization change your field / industry? 2. Which tasks are particularly challenging? 3. Which solution seems particularly future-oriented to you? 4. What do you find particularly exciting in connection with digitization in your specialist area/industry? 5. What is the spectrum of digitization in your specialist area/industry? 6. In what respects will professions related to your subject area/industry have changed in ten years‘ time?

The jury will select two candidates from all applications by 31.04.2020.

If you are one of the lucky winners, you will be informed by 05.05.2020 at the latest.

FAQs about the scholarship

How long will I be funded?

You will be supported over a period of 12 months. The scholarship can be extended if necessary.

How much will I be sponsored?

The grant amounts to 1,000 euros per year.

Does the money have to be repaid?

ExpertenTesten.de would like to give you this money to support your studies or training. The type of repayment will be made upon presentation of your achievements (examination results, certificates).

Is the scholarship credited to the BafÖG?

What happens to my sponsorship during a leave of absence?

If you are on leave for family or personal reasons, the grant will be suspended. The payment will be continued as soon as you resume your studies or training. As a result, the payment period is postponed by the number of months still open. If the leave of absence is due to a stay abroad for the purpose of studying abroad, the support continues. The same applies to leave of absence due to an internship.

Who can apply?

Students of all disciplines who are enrolled at a state-recognized university. Apprentices from all sectors who attend a training center in the Federal Republic of Germany. We pay particular attention to the fact that the applicant is particularly concerned with digitization and uses the funding to provide financial support during the period of study/training.

How does the selection process work?

From the applications submitted, ExpertTests selects two particularly worthy candidates. The winners will be informed by e-mail by 05.05.2020.

How does the subsidy affect my tax return?

Since the scholarship serves to promote research and scientific or artistic education, it is tax-free in accordance with the Income Tax Act.

Do I need a certain grade average to be eligible for the scholarship?

No. We support talented and highly motivated people who persist in pursuing their goals, even under unfavorable circumstances. We review your performance during the scholarship period. You are therefore obliged to submit your examination results or certificates.

What happens after my exmatriculation?

If the exmatriculation takes place during the current funding period, the scholarship ends with the month in which the studies were completed.
